THE HOUSE THAT MOVED
1/48th Scale Miniature Kit
The 1/48th kit model is based on an actual 15th century building that became famous in 1961. It was due for demolition to make way for the Exeter by-pass, but saved by popular request. The intact House was moved down a steep hill on rails to its new location. This was seen on the BBC news and there is a link to the archived event on Google.com.
The design allows for access to the interior from the removable fronts and roof.
The kit comes with chimney and 2 stair enclosures.
Kit includes structural elements to create the main building; walls, roof, base, doors, windows, stairs, chimney etc.
The model is supplied in flat packed kit form.
(PLEASE NOTE: The decorated model shown is for demonstration purposes only - decorating materials are not included.)
The unconstructed kit is accompanied by a journal (written in English) covering a recommended approach to construction.
